Ningbo Palletised Distribution enjoyed the full glare of the media spotlight this month when the firm featured on national and regional TV news.
The firm featured on ITV’s News at Ten programme, as well as ITV Wales’ news programme at 6pm, when its views were sought on the general election, and Brexit in particular.
Jonathan Hill quizzed managing director Chris Stockton and driver Darren Fox about the election, and who they thought was the best person to lead the UK through Brexit negotiations.
ITV Wales business correspondent Carole Green was keen to gauge the views of North Wales businesses during a visit to the region by Chancellor Philip Hammond. Visiting the Wrexham site, she also spoke to Chris and Darren.
Ningbo has recently recruited nine new employees including drivers, sales reps and warehouse operatives following a clutch of new contract wins. It also added specialist hazardous materials trucks to its division to cover Shropshire, and launched Ireland Express, a dedicated next-day service to Ireland from Shropshire.
The company is on track to grow its turnover from £6m to £8m by the end of 2017.
